Myco-terra is a metal and plastic prototype of a three tiered closed terrarium that explores the potential of radiotrophic fungi for soil remediation in radiation-contaminated environments. We are specifically researching within the scope of the 2011 Fukushima power plant disaster and the regions affected around it. Currently, our project is at the research stages and initial prototyping but we are aiming for this research to kick start a further exploration and implement this process of bioremediation of radioactive waste globally.
